It’s pretty lame that the high number of tracks is because they broke down pieces like 33 Variations on a Waltz by Diabelli into 33 separate tracks many of which are barely a minute long. I’m sure glad my versions are all in 1 convenient MP3 file.

How many people say “hey, I want to hear variation #23 right now so I’m so happy they split the piece into so many files?” But then how many people listen to variations let alone piano music? How many people listen to Beethoven any more? How many people listen to classical music? I’m used to being in the 1% minority on most things.

I doubt I’ll buy this set simply because I have all the good pieces by the major composers from prior sets or albums. I don’t know anything about Satie, MacDowell, or Grainger. I’m afraid their names don’t come up very often in the land of Beethoven, Mozart, Brahms, Tchaikovsky, Chopin, Bach, etc.
